Jammu : Terrorists attacked a police post in a hilly area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district and injured two policemen, police here said Friday.
Militants attacked the Ari police post in Poonch’s Mendhar area, about 230 km north of Jammu, around 10 p.m. Thursday. They opened fire at the guards and injured two. However, the attackers were forced to retreat when the policemen fired back.
The whole area has been cordoned off by army and paramilitary forces are searching the forested area, an official said.
