New Delhi : A cool breeze greeted Delhiites Wednesday morning with the minimum temperature dipping to a comfortable 24.1 degrees Celsius, but the met office forecast a hot and dry day ahead.
The met department said the maximum temperature is likely to touch 39 degrees.
“The minimum temperature recorded today (Wednesday) morning was 24.1 degrees, around four degrees above average. There was a nice breeze in the morning but the day would be hot. The sky will be clear and sunny, maximum temperature is expected to reach 39 degrees Celsius,” an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The official said the humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 38 percent, an indication that the day would be dry also.
After recording the highest temperature for the season two days in a row, Delhi Tuesday evening saw a slight dip in day temperature at 39.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above average, the IMD said.
The temperature Tuesday was a tad better than the daytime temperature of Sunday, which had peaked to the season’s highest so far at 41.6 degrees.
