Abu Dhabi : Etihad Airways cancelled flights to Britain and Ireland Thursday and Friday as all British and Irish airports remained closed following the spread of ash from the volcano in Iceland.
Etihad Airways chief executive officer James Hogan said: “We are complying fully with the UK and European authorities during these closures, and will not operate services to any area that may present a safety risk.”
“We encourage our customers with travel plans to the UK or Ireland to contact their local office or the dedicated customer assistance lines we have set up,” he said.
