Lapang resigns as Meghalaya chief minister

Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister D.D. Lapang Monday submitted his resignation to Governor Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary.

Congress legislators have gathered to elect a new leader. Mukul M. Sangma is widely expected to be Lapang’s successor.
