No more showers, Delhi continues to be hot

New Delhi : A day after some parts of the capital experienced mild showers, there were no traces of rainfall Tuesday as Delhiites continued to reel under the scorching heat.

The maximum temperature hovered around 41.8 degrees Celsius, six notches above average, weather officials said.

“The minimum temperature this morning (Tuesday) was 29 degrees, eight degrees above average,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

“The western disturbance caused the rain in some parts of Delhi Monday. But now it has passed and temperatures are likely to rise again,” the official added.

The maximum humidity recorded Tuesday was 42 percent and minimum was 21 percent.
