New Delhi: The Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind (Mahmood Madani group) will launch a countrywide agitation to pressure the Congress-led UPA government on Muslim reservation according to their population and fixing accountability of civil and police administration in the proposed Communal Violence Bill.

The JUH will demand reservation in jobs and education to the Muslim community in the country according to their population, and changes in the communal violence bill.

The Bill in its present form will not be able to check communal clashes, so there is a need to fix responsibility on police and district administration, JUH leader and Rajya Sabha Member Mahmood Madni told press yesterday in Delhi while announcing their nationwide agitation.

The Jamiat will launch the agitation from Kolkata on May 3.
