Religious sections have the responsibility to interfere in social problems and religious leaders can provide moral directions in political and national issues, said Major Archbishop Mar Basalios Kimmis Catholica Bava when speaking to media persons after the meeting. There should not be an obstruction to the friendly atmosphere in its name in a society made up of different religious, community and political sections. Nor should communities be alienated in the name of isolated incidents. Isolation takes place in the absence of friendship. We opine that not only politics but no factor at all should be used for selfish interests. AT the same time, religious groups are able to interfere in social problems and provide moral directions. The need to restore harmony will be passed on to the society through churches and ashrams. We will think about extending such gatherings as this all over the state, he added. He explained that the meeting had no relations at all with elections.

Major Archbishop Mar Basalios Kimmis Catholica Bava presided over the meeting. Swami Gururatna Gyana Thapaswi (Shanthigiri Ashram), Archbishop Susaipakyom, Palayam Masjid Imam Moulvo Jamaludheen Mankada, H Shaheer Moulvi, Swami Aswathi Thirunal (Ekalavyashram), Dr Lokahithananda Swami (Sri Ramakrishna Ashram), Bishop JW Gladstone, Bishop Samuel Mar Irenios, Swami Samvidananda (Vishwa Sanskara Bhavan – Shivagiri), Barsleeby Ramban (Malankara Orthodox Church) and Swami Nirmohathma Gyana Thapaswi (Shanthigiri Ashram) took part in the meeting.
