New Delhi : Constraints in production and distribution are the principal factors behind the high levels of inflation, Minister of State for Planning V. Narayanasamy said Thursday.
These constraints were particularly so for farm sector products, the minister said in a written statement in response to a question from Syed Azeez Pasha.
“The government is taking a very close look at what the nature of these constraints and deficiencies are, and to find short-term and medium-term solutions to relax these constraints and thus alleviate the inflation pressure, particularly among the poor,” the minister said.
