Washington : Israel and the Palestinians will resume direct negotiations next month in hopes of reviving the Middle East peace process, US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton confirmed Friday.
The long-stalled talks will begin in Washington Sep 2 with a deadline of reaching a deal in one year, Clinton told reporters.
