Abu Dhabi: The UAE National Transport Authority (NTA) has approved a new strategy for 2011-2013 to raise the efficiency of the country’s transportation systems.
The plan was approved at a meeting last week presided over by Public Works Minister and NTA chairman Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
The NTA’s four strategic goals included raising efficiency of land transport, setting up of legislative and regulatory systems for rail transport, raising the efficiency of maritime transport and to implement effective human resource management, financial and technical practices.
NTA director general Nasser Saif Al Mansouri said the strategy aims to achieve sustainable growth through secure and integrated transport in line with the UAE Vision 2021.
