New Delhi : The meeting of interior ministers of the SAARC countries in Islamabad scheduled for Feb 26-28, in which Home Minister P. Chidambaram was expected to represent India, has been postponed.
The meeting was postponed as the dates for the visit did not suit the Nepalese home minister, informed sources said.
Fresh dates are being discussed.
Chidambaram was set to go to Islamabad to attend the Feb 26-28 meeting of home ministers of the eight-nation South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
If he does go later, this would be the first visit by an Indian minister to Pakistan since the November 20008 terror assault that plunged India-Pakistan relations to a new low.
