2-day national seminar on education held at Jamiat-ul Falah in Azamgarh

Azamgarh: “Education has played an important role in the rise and fall of communities and nations. Those who paid attention to education succeeded, and those didn’t ruined themselves,” said Justice Suhail Aijaz Siddiqi, Chairman, National Commission For Minority Educational Institutions. He was speaking at the 2-day national seminar on “Islamic view of education and demands in the modern prospective” held at Jamiat-ul Falah in Azamgarh.

Justice Siddiqi said that Muslims should come forward in the field of education taking benefits from available facilities. He also expressed his happiness over high level education for girl students at Jamiat-ul Falah.

In his keynote address, noted scholar Professor Akhtrul Wasey of Jamia Millia Islamia urged the community to end the division of traditional and modern education. “We have to prepare such a people in our educational centres who do not only have deep knowledge of religion but also are aware of what is happing in the world. We need to promote such an education system which can prepare such products who will be master of all fields” he said adding “We should take benefit from government schemes run to develop education in minorities.”

Nazim of Jamiat-ul Falah Maulana Mohammad Tahir Madni informed the audience about the educational activities at Jamiat-ul Falah, one of the leading modern Islamic seminaries in the country.

“Division of traditional and modern education has harmed us much and this should be ended now. We should prepare a syllabus which is compatible to both religion and modern age” he said.

Dr. Ubaidullah Fahad Falahi was of the opinion that instead of abusing Western educational system we should not feel hesitation to take benefit from it.

Those presented their papers on the subject included Dr. Ihsanullah Fahad, Dr. Ziyauddin Malik Falahi, Dr. Nizamuddin Falahi, Maulana Maqbool Falahi, Dr. Arshad Falahi, Omair Manzar Falahi. Three women scholars also presented their research papers. They are: Mrs. Aasiya Falahi, Mrs. Sajida Falahi and Mrs. Noorussaba Falahi.
