AMU Malappuram campus: Land to be registered this week

By TCN News,

Malappuram: After a long bureaucratic tangle and shifts of the campus location, the first plot of land – about 123 acres – for the upcoming off-campus centre of Aligarh Muslim University will be registered this week in Malappuram.

Initially land for the campus was selected in Malappuram. But the ruling party in the state found some problems in it and the project was shifted to Perinthalmanna. Later, problems arose here also and again the project was shifted to Malappuram.

“The 123 acres of land, which the central government has received in the first phase is to be registered first” said the Special Advocate for Aligarh Muslim University. The land is registered in the name of Official Education Director after the checking of Government pleader. And the survey of 300 acres of land for second phase has also started.
