3 Indian schools in Dubai rated unsatisfactory

By NNN-PTI,

Dubai : Three Indian schools in Dubai have received poor rating for providing unsatisfactory quality of education after an inspection of Asian schools was carried out for the first time in the city.

Out of the 20 Indian schools in Dubai, 17 provide an acceptable or good quality of education, Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has said, adding those schools which were rated unsatisfactory will now have regular ‘follow-through inspections.’

KHDA’s Dubai School Inspection Bureau said majority of Indian schools offer good quality education to students but their educational standards were not outstanding.

“None of the 23 inspected schools were found outstanding,” it said, adding 51 per cent of students in Indian schools received good or acceptable quality of education.

Key aspects like leadership, parental engagement and Islamic education were noted to drive the ratings of the Indian schools as good, outstanding or acceptable.
