New Delhi : Along with dense fog, Delhi is likely to experience thundershowers Sunday with the day temperature hovering around 16 degrees Celsius, the weatherman said Saturday.
“It is expected to rain Sunday. We are predicting thundershowers in parts of the capital city,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
“This is because of a western disturbance,” he added, forecasting that the fog situation will not improve at least before Monday afternoon.
On Saturday, Delhi experienced a maximum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, at least seven degrees below the average and a minimum of 8.4 degrees, one degree above the average.
“The reducing gap between minimum and maximum temperature in the city is the main reason for the chill. It will continue for the next few days,” the met official added.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature will hover around 16 degrees and the minimum around six degrees Celsius.
