Chennai : US-based Indian Prakash Amritraj continued his fine run to qualify for the main draw of the $400,000 ATP Aircel Chennai Open tennis tournament, here defeating Lars Poerschke of Germany 7-6(5), 6-3 in the final round Monday.
Later, India’s top junior, 17-year old Yuki Bhambri fell at the final hurdle after putting up a brave fight before losing in three sets to Ireland’s Louk Sorensen 2-6, 7-6(8), 2-6 in two hours and 25 minutes.
