New Delhi: The 3-day Career Fest – 2010, a counseling program for students and parents by professionals, is going to be held from 8-10 January at Saboo Siddik Engineering College grounds in Byculla, Mumbai.
The program is being organized by PEARL Educational & Welfare Trust, Anjuman-I-Islam, Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), KAWISH, Urdu Head Masters Association, All India Ideal Teachers Association (AIITA) and Students Islamic Organisation Of India (SIO – Mumbai) and supported by many other NGOs.
Last year a similar program was held on 11-12th April, 2009 at Saboo Siddik College campus. The program had earned a lot of appreciation from the students community. About 10,000 people had visited the program.
“Last year we had the successful launch and completion of a highly interactive Career Counseling program named “Career Fest-Vision 2015” held on 11th & 12th April, 2009 at Saboo Siddik College campus. The primary aim of this program was to provide complete guidance and right direction to students and parents about various career prospects available. With a participation of more than 10,000 visitors, the event was a tremendous success in terms of value gained,” said officials attached with the program.
There was a lot of appreciation from the student community, parents & the guests and they were very delighted to attend such a program. People were of the opinion that such a program was unprecedented in the way it was conducted and such programs need to be organized on a frequent basis, they added.
“To keep up with this expectation we are organizing another Career Fest,” they said adding, “the primary aim of this program is to provide complete guidance & give right direction to students and parents about various career prospects available, with a participation of more than 30,000 visitors.
Chief Guest of the inaugural function on January 8 will be Dr. Bhalchandra Mungekar, Ex- V.C. Mumbai University & Planning Commission Member, Govt. Of India, and President & Chairman – Indian Institute Of Advanced Study, Shimla. The program will be presided over by Dr. Zahir I. Kazi, President, Anjuman-I-Islam. Guest of Honors will be Dr. M.M. Ansari (IAS) – R T I Commissioner, Govt. Of India, Dr. Jaweed Mukarram, Ex-M.D. Wockhard Scientist and Maulana Gulam Mohd. Vastanvi, Raeesul-Jamiya Ishatul-Uloom Akkal Kuwan.
