Islamabad : A senior Pakistani columnist Irfan Siddiqui on Thursday termed the situation in the Gaza Strip as pathetic urging the OIC and Arab League to come up with a strong voice to put pressure on Israel.
Talking to IRNA, he said that Israel would not stop human rights violation in Gaza unless US and other western powers stop encouraging the illegitimate state against Muslims.
“There is no international pressure on Israel to stop violating human rights in Gaza rather Israel has been given a free hand to make the lives of Palestinians miserable by inhuman acts”, analyst believed.
Irfan Siddiqui added that every one knows that Israel is at fault but unfortunately because of the support of the US the situation has been aggravating.
He was of the view that United Nations (UN) has failed to carry out its responsibility as a peace keeping force.
He added that discriminatory policies of international organizations allow chaos to prevail in the Muslim countries.
“Israel has turned the whole Gaza strip into a jail and still the world has not come up with a strong reaction against Israel”, Irfan Siddiqui regretted.
He also urged the human rights organizations to step in and play their role on the gross human rights violation in Gaza.
Irfan Siddiqui stressed the need for practical efforts to foil designs of Israel against people of Gaza. “Despite tall claims raised at international level Israel has illegitimately occupied Palestinian land”, he said.
Analyst expressing his views said that it was unfortunate that the member countries of the OIC have become tools in the hands of the US.
“Iran is the only state that has come up with a strong reaction against the Israeli atrocities in Gaza whereas other Islamic countries have become silent spectators over the Palestinian cause”, he opined.
Irfan Siddiqui added that the overall misery of the Muslims is due to the cooperation of Muslim leaders with the anti-Islam powers.
He demanded Muslim Ummah to get united and initiate all-out efforts at political diplomatic and economic levels to resolve the issue of Palestine.
