Srinagar: An intense cold wave continued to sweep parts of Jammu and Kashmir Saturday as Leh town of Ladakh region recorded a minimum temperature of minus 20.8 degrees Celsius.
“In Leh, the maximum temperature was 0.8 degrees while the minimum was minus 20.8 degrees,” an official of the weather department here told IANS.
“The minimum temperature in Srinagar was minus 4.2 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 10.8 degrees.”
“Cold wave conditions are likely to continue for the next two days as the weather is expected to remain dry with cloudless night skies,” the official said.
