Chennai: The Indian presence in the $400,000 ATP Aircel Chennai Open tennis tournament ended here Saturday with the exit of the scratch combination of Somdev Devvarman and Sanam Singh in the semi-finals of the men’s doubles.
The Indian wildcard pairing went down 3-6, 6-4, 5-10 to Janko Tipsarevic (Serbia) and Yen-Hsun Lu (Taipei).
On Friday night, third seeded Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna lost to the British pair of Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski 6-3, 3-6, 2-10 in the quarter-finals of the same event.
