Chittagong : Sachin Tendulkar scored an unbetaen 105 but India were bowled out for 243 by Bangladesh on the second day of the first cricket Test here Monday.
Resuming at 213/8, India added another 30 runs before folding up just before lunch. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan (5-62) and paceman Shahadat Hossain (5-71), who rocked the Indian batting Sunday, shared one wicket each MOnday.
At lunch Bangladesh were 21 for no loss.
For the second consecutive day play started 90 minutes late due to dense fog.
Pacer Sahadat Hossain picked up his fifth wicket when Ishant Sharma edged a delivery to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim.
Tendulkar, who was at 76 overnight, reached his 44th Test century with two consecutive boundaries off Hossain.
Sreesanth was not comfortable at the other end with Shakib getting considerable turn from the wicket. He managed to see off one over but fell in the next, caught by Imrul Kayes. Shakib got his sixth five-wicket haul.
Tendulkar, who reached the milestone of 13,000 Test runs Sunday, remained unbeaten on 105 off 166 balls, stroking 11 fours and two sixes.
Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal got off to an aggressive start, scoring 11 runs off Zaheer Khan’s first over. He scored all of Bangladesh’s 21 runs in the fours overs before lunch. Imrul Kayes was yet to open his account.
