Berlin : The Egyptian embassy in Berlin became once again the scene of another protest rally aimed at halting the construction of the disputed Gaza wall.
Battling a Siberian-like winter freeze, protesters voiced anger over Egypt’s decision to go ahead with building the inhuman Gaza steel barrier which would cut off blockaded Gaza’s last lifeline by slicing through hundreds of smuggling tunnels under the Gaza-Egypt border.
Demonstrators called for lifting the Israeli-Egyptian siege of Gaza, while expressing strong solidarity and support with Palestinians.
Protesters held up signs denouncing Egyptian authorities for mistreating members of an international aid convoy which tried recently in vain to enter Gaza via the Rafah border crossing.
The picketing in front of the Egyptian diplomatic mission was organized by Berlin-based Arab and Palestinian groups.
