New Delhi: The National Archives of India Monday urged private collectors to donate collections of papers that have a bearing on Indian history and culture.
In a statement, the ministry of culture said it would “duly acknowledge, list and preserve all such papers available for consultation for scholars and users of the archives”.
The National Archives of India has a very rich collection of private papers of eminent Indians which have been acquired through gifts and donation.
They include the papers of Mahatma Gandhi, G.K. Gokhale, Dadabhai Naoroji, M.R. Jayakar, Sarojini Naidu and others.

Deshpande, B.C. Roy , A.T. Hingorani, N.K. Bose and others.
