Argument concludes in one of the Babri Masjid title case in Lucknow High Court

The arguments of both the parties contesting the litigation of Ram Janam Bhumi/ Babri Masjid title issue concluded at the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday.
Before the Special Bench comprising Justice SU Khan, Justice Dharamveer Sharma and Justice Sudhir Agarwal, the counsels of both the parties concluded there arguments for the civil case to decide the title.

To recall, the litigation of the title issue is pending in the High Court since 2004. Almost 33 witnesses have appeared on behalf of Sunni Central Waqf Board and 54 witnesses have appeared before the Court on behalf of Ram Janam Bhumi.

The arguments of the parties concluded on Wednesday in a leading petition titled Sunni Central Waqf Board Vs Gopal Singh Visharad. Besides this three petitions are still pending in the High Court in which arguments are yet to be completed. The three petitions are namely Bhagwan Sri Ram Virajman and others Vs. Rajendra Singh. The second being Nirmohi Akhara Vs. Babu Priya Dutt and others and the third petition being of Gopal Singh Vishrad Vs. Zahoor Ahmed. The arguments for these three petitions are still underway since 2007 before the special bench.
