Srinagar: One person has injured in north Kashmir town of Baramulla Friday afternoon, after Police opened fire on the stone-pelting protestors.
The injured person has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Jarnail, of Kakarhamam locality in the town.
According to reports, a group of people took out a demonstration on Friday afternoon in the town. As the procession was stopped by the Police, the protesters hurled stones. Soon, the Police opened fire injuring the youth.
“He has received bullet injury in abdomen, after police opened fire on the protestors, who had taken to streets after Friday prayers in the town.” an eyewitness said.
The injured person has been shifted to the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for further treatment.
