Khan along with other office bearers of the association submitted a memorandum in this regard to the visiting state school education minister Fauzia Tahseen Khan last week. The association also demanded recruitment of Urdu teachers on their vacant posts in Urdu medium schools of Zila Parishad.

Khan informed the minister that several Urdu schools are deprived of government grants for 12-15 years, resulting in financial problems for the teachers. They hope that from the educational year of 2000 the government will sanction 100% grant to their schools.

He also said that in Beed district alone many posts of Urdu medium teachers are vacant, so these posts must be filled. Minister Fauzia Tahseen Khan promised that she will try her best to solve the problems of Urdu medium schools and teachers and will give justice to them.

During her visit to Beed district the minister also visited the office of “Tameer” Urdu daily.
