Kathmandu : In a cruel twist to his seven-year battle for freedom in Nepal, the Supreme Court here Wednesday again postponed the final verdict on a murder case against Charles Sobhraj, sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The two judges hearing the case said they were not able to go through the complete arguments submitted by the prosecution and Sobhraj’s lawyers within the given time.
Justice Ram Prasad Shah also said they needed more time to examine the documents filed by both sides.
This is the third time that the Supreme Court has put off announcing its final sentence on the murder of American tourist Connie Jo Bronzich in 1975.
