Tehran : The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Tuesday condemned the Israeli attack on the peace flotilla carrying aid for the people in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued here today, the forum stressed that once again Palestine is witnessing the Zionists’ attack on the convoy of humanitarian supplies for the besieged city of Gaza.
Such a dangerous and deadly attack is an indication to the weakness of the Zionist regime, it added.
The statement further condemned the inaction of the Arab and Islamic states and the so-called human rights bodies regarding the Zionists atrocities in the occupied territories particularly the latest one.
It called on the international bodies, including the United Nations and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to take serious measures to restore the rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation.
According to media reports, early Monday morning in international waters, Israeli forces intercepted and took control of the six-ship aid convoy, which was carrying 10,000 tons of foodstuff and medicine as well as hundreds of activists from several countries. At least 20 people were killed in the serious violence on one or more of the vessels.
