Abu Dhabi : Seafarers have been warned to avoid surfing after tropical storm Phet reached the UAE’s eastern coast, the meteorological office said.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said Friday that the forecast for the next 36 hours was that wind speeds would reach up to 65 km per hour.
It warned seafarers not to surf in the sea and be cautious of reduced visibility due to sand, which will be raised by strong winds.
