Chandigarh : A chartered plane made an emergency landing at Chandigarh airport Sunday after a technical snag forced it to return from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, airport officials said.
According to the officials, the Saraya Aviation plane had taken off from Chandigarh airport and was scheduled to land at Shimla airport.
“The plane had reached Shimla but it could not land there as some technical problem developed in the engine. Therefore, it came back and made a safe landing here around 11.30 a.m.,” said an official of Chandigarh airport
“Both the pilot and the co-pilot are safe and our engineers are examining the plane to ascertain the problem,” he said.
“The plane had gone to Shimla to pick up some VIP guests,” he added.
