Patna: Firdaus Parween from T P College in Madhepura is among top five rankers in Bihar intermediate exam 2010 (science stream). The top five positions in the state this year have been grabbed by girls with Shweta Rajani, a student of J D Women’s College, Patna, securing the first position with 425 aggregate marks.
Parween from T P College in Madhepur has got 412 aggregate marks out of 500. In a special program yesterday, Madhepura District Magistrate Dr Virendra Prasad felicitated Parween. “We are happy that this girl has got top 5th position in the state and has brought fame and honor to the district,” said the DM. He congratulated her mother for the success of her daughter.
The DM also promised that the district administration will provide all help to Parween for her higher education.
The results of the Intermediate Science Examination-2010 conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) were declared on Friday.
Out of 2,11,193 students, who had appeared at I.Sc. examination, 1,95,377 students passed the exam, with the pass percentage being 92.51 per cent. In 2009, it was 91.85 per cent while in 2008 it was 63.62 per cent.
