New Delhi : A hoax call was received at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here Thursday claiming that there was a bomb on an Indigo Delhi-Jammu flight, police said.
The flight had around 180 passengers onboard.
“The airport authorities today (Thursday) received a call at 11.14 a.m. stating that there was a bomb on an Indigo flight scheduled to fly from Delhi to Jammu,” a senior police officer said.
Immediate measures were taken and the passengers and crew were disembarked, police said. The plane was searched and the call was found to be a hoax.
The hoax call originated from the Indigo call center in Gurgaon, police said.
“Further investigations will be carried out by the Gurgaon Police,” the officer added.
