Aurangabad (Maharashtra): Five children were crushed to death and at least eight others were injured when the roof of a madrasa caved in due to heavy rains in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district Saturday evening, police said.
“The children were in classes at the Arbi madrassa in Mhasa village when the roof suddenly collapsed around 5.30 p.m. owing to the heavy rains,” investigating officer of Gangapur police station D.D. Konde told IANS.
The eight injured children have been rushed to hospitals in Aurangabad and Gangapur, around 60 km from the district headquarters.
