Bangalore: Popular Front of India General Secretary K. M. Shareef urged the Central Government to ensure supply of essential goods to the people of Manipur who are suffering from road block imposed by Naga groups. Shareef reminded the Government that it is their responsibility to save the Manipur people at any coast.
As all the supply routes to Manipur are under siege for many days, the people could not avail even the essential food items to maintain their lives. “The Manipuri people who were already leading a difficult life in between the private militant groups and armed forces are now thrown from melting pot to rousing fire,” Shareef said and reminded the Government that “since all the agitating groups could not be persuaded through talks and some groups are still continuing blocking roads, it has the responsibility to save the Manipur people at any coast.”
