Bhagalpur minority cell of JD-U resigns en masse

By TCN News,

Patna: Protesting against the friendship between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP leader Narendra Modi though the former has apparently expressed his anger over his photo with the latter, the entire minority cell of Janata Dal (United) in Bhagalpur district has resigned en masse from the party.

Arshad Jameel announcing resignation of the minority cell of JD(U).

“Nitish Kumar is coming closer to Modi, killer of thousands of Muslims, the person banned by US, the man defamed India in world. Nitish’s friendship with Modi is not going down with the Muslims in the state. Moreover, communal leaders like Praveen Togadia and Varun Gandhi are being given free hand here while Togadia was returned from airport and Advani was jailed during the regime of Lalu Yadav,” said Arshad Jameel, Bhagalpur district head of JD-U minority cell, in a press statement today.

“Muslims are concerned with his photo with Modi holding hands. Nitish is doing politics with Muslims in Bihar. His overtures against Modi are just a show so that Muslim vote is not drifted from him,” Jameel said adding: “In this situation, we are resigning from the minority cell of Bhagalpur JD-U — from its district committee, nine blocks and all panchayats.”

Jameel said he will join Muslim United Front of Abu Qaisar with his entire team. Qaisar had held a rally on June 12 in Patna showing black flags to BJP leaders who were in the city for the party executive meet.
