TNTJ founder P. Jainulabdeen told the media that though the Congress-led UPA government has tabled the Justice Ranganath Misra Commission report in the Parliament, it is yet to table its Action Taken Report on the Commission’s recommendations. The Centre has remained silent on this issue till now, he said.

The sole agenda of the conference would be to demand the Centre to provide 10% separate reservation for Muslims as recommended by the Justice Ranganath Misra Commission and enact legislation in this regard, he said.

TNTJ leader has warned that if Congress failed to provide 10% separate reservation to Muslims TNTJ members and supporters would not vote for the Congress and its alliance in the state.
