Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) general secretary Ramasrey Kushwaha Monday said that expelled party leader Amar Singh always ignored sincere party activists.
“He (Amar Singh) never acknowledged those party activists who devoted themselves for strengthening the party. Now, as he has been expelled, our party will definitely make a comeback,” Kushwaha told a gathering in Shahpur area in Fatehpur district, some 150 km from here.
Kushwaha alleged that most of the time Amar Singh took decisions on his own and never consulted the “serious and devoted party workers”.
“Due to his decisions, a number of times our party had to face an embarrassing situation. In fact, he had become a burden on the party. We are sure to gain several things after his expulsion,” he added.
Amar Singh was expelled from the primary membership of the party Feb 2.
