New Delhi: Right now about 300 students of Aligarh Muslim University are sitting outside Allama Iqbal Hall inside the university campus demanding the authorities about the whereabouts of Class 12 student Mohd Ahmed of Azamgarh who went missing on Friday night and still traceless. Aligarh District police officials are camping near the hall and assuring the agitating students that they are doing their best to recover the boy.

An AMU student told TCN on phone 15 minutes ago about the agitation. He said Mohd Ahmed went missing on Friday (March 19) from Suleman Hall. This was noticed only when he did not appear in the exam on Saturday. This surprised the students and authorities as Mohd Ahmed had good academic record of 85% in last exam. When he did not return, several hundred students from different hostels tried to march towards the VC residence to demand for the recovery of the boy. Right now they are sitting outside Allama Iqbal hostel in protest.

According to the source, the local police have been able to trace the cell phone in Kanpur zone. The local police are in contact with their Kanpur counterpart and trying to trace the student who is said to be from Binapara area in Azamgarh.
