Dhaka : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home today ending her five-day official visit to China.
A Biman aircraft carrying the Prime Minister and members of her entourage landed at Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport at 11.45 am from Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province of China.

Minister G M Quader, Adviser to the Prime Minister HT Imam, Chief Whip Vice-Principal Abdus Shaheed, Cabinet Secretary MA Aziz,
Chiefs of three services, members of diplomatic corps and high civil and military officials, among others, received the Prime
Minister at the airport.
Earlier, Vice-Governor of Yunnan Province Lijing saw the Prime Minister off at Kunming Airport as the Bangladesh’s premier left Kunming for Dhaka this morning.
Besides, during the visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to China which is considered very important and crucial from the
diplomatic point of view, three agreements and one MoU was signed between the two countries following official talks between
Bangladesh Premier Sheikh Hasina and her Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao.
The agreements are- Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement with Substantial Grants, Framework Agreement for Construction of Shahjalal Fertilizer Factory, Agreement for Construction of the seventh Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge and the MoU on Bangladesh-China Cooperation in oil and gas sectors.
Apart from this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid call on Chinese President Hu Jintao and held meeting with Chairman of
China National Peoples Congress Wu Banggu.
She also held a meeting with the leader of Chinese business community on March 19 where she called Chinese entrepreneurs to
invest more in Bangladesh’s ommunications, infrastructural, power, energy, ICT, and Pharmaceuticals sectors.
On March 20, Sheikh Hasina left Beijing for Kunming at her last leg of China visit where she held meeting with leaders of
the Yunnan province and talked about further strengthening trade and business between Kunming and Dhaka.
In Kunming, she visited a tribal village and Flower City International Auction Centre where she was given rousing reception.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua, Communication Minister Syed Abul Hossain, Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Dipu Moni, State Minister for CHT Affairs Dipankar Talukdar, Awami League Presidium Member Qazi Jafarullah, Ambassador-at- large Md Ziauddin, Members of Parliament Bir Bahadur and Jatindra Lal Tripura, Editor of the Daily Janakantha Atiqullah Khan Masud, Editor of the daily Inqilab AMM Bahauddin, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Abdul Karim, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad, businessmen and cultural personalities, among others, accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit.
