Alliance Air to operate flights between Delhi, Himachal

Shimla: Private airline Alliance Air will operate flights to Himachal Pradesh from Delhi and Punjab, an official said here Saturday.

“Alliance Air will operate four flights per week from March 28 at the Bhuntar airport near Kullu to provide air connectivity with Delhi and
Pathankot in Punjab,” State Principal Secretary Tourism and Civil Aviation Manisha Nanda told IANS.

She said the schedule of flights on the Delhi-Kullu-Delhi sector had been approved by the Director General Civil Aviation.

Himachal Pradesh is also planning to invite private players to operate helicopter taxis in the state.

Known for its tourist spots, Himachal Pradesh has seen an increase in inflow of tourists. The state attracted 11,437,155 tourists, including 400,583
foreigners, last year. This year till Feb 28, 917,807 people have visited the state.
