Karachi : Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Saturday felicitated the entire nation on successful Shaheen and Ghauri Missile tests.
He extended felicitations while addressing the PPP Hyderabad Division Convention at Chief Minister House.Earlier President of Youth Wing of Hyderabad Division made reference to Prime Minister’s delayed address.
Replying to the same the Prime Minister said that he was on a very important mission during which he witnessed Shaheen and Ghauri missle tests.He described them as great achievements for the defence of Pakistan.
He said he also held a meeting with Baluch leader Sardar Ataullah Mengal which proved very useful.He said they have certain grievances which the central government will address.
He said the Baluch leaders would be brought on to the dialogue table and resolve the issues.
The Prime Minister said the present government is committed to promote political of reconciliation and our this policy has proved successful and this was reflective from unanimous passage of 18th Constitutional Amendment, NFC Award, Gilgit-Baltistan issue, Labour policy – all resolved through unanimity.
He said the Charter of Democracy was signed by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and we got his signing honoured and not even one out of 442 members opposed.
“It had been the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who wanted the same system which was given by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and this government materialised her dream of restoration of constitution of 1973 and which is a great success of PPP”.
The Prime Minister pointed out that PPP do not believe in short term politics. It does long term politics for the cause of people – who have given great sacrifices for the cause of democracy.
He said President Asif Ali Zardari has played a major role in the success of politics of reconciliation and he gave practical shape to the concept of balance of power.
Mr Gilani said PPP is not doing politics of today but tomorrow Bilawal, Bakhtawar and Asifa will also come and play their role for the party which is the party of martyrs.
