Financial irregularities amounting to around Rs.30 lakh were detected during the raids. Over 100 fake medical insurance certificates were also recovered during the raids. Senior officials of the National Insurance Company from Delhi assisted the CBI sleuths in carrying out the raids, sources said.

Several documents, computers and hard-drives from the offices have been seized by the CBI officials to further investigate the matter, they added.

This scheme is meant to provide medical facilities to poor families. Under the scheme, while poor families contribute Rs.100 per annum, the central government provides Rs.300 and the insurance company offers free medical treatment up to Rs.30,000 to the poor families.
