Ansari in his proposal has suggested that the academic activities may be started on a temporary basis at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Inter College in Aliganj from July 10. He even had inspected the college along with Regional Higher Education Officer, SA Ali on May 18. “The college has ample space and we can run the classes by adjusting the timing,” said Ansari. However he remained cautious stating that the final words rest with the state government. “Once the proposal is approved we will announce it. Presently not much can be said about the future activities,” he added.

Meanwhile, sources confided that UAF will not be only an institution offering courses in urdu and persian language. It has been proposed to run several professional courses as MBA, BEd and others in the curriculum. V-C Ansari also met the faculty at Islamic seminary Nadwatul Uloon including Salman Nadwi to seek his views on the kinds of courses and activities UAF University should adopt to promote learning of Urdu, Arabic and Persian so that students turn out employable. A proposal for recruiting the staff and faculty for the proposed university has also been highlighted in the report submitted to the state government. The announcement by the state government to establish such university in April 2010 was welcomed by muslim fraternity and clerics. However, there is no infrastructure, staff and other facilities including building to turn the announcement into reality.

Ansari who retired from the post of Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) was appointed as V-C of the proposed university of UAF in 2010. The university is expected to come up in state capital in coming years. Presently, Ansari has managed to squeeze an office for himself at the Indira Bhawan which houses several government departments to attend to the daily activities of the institution.
