Patna : Suspected Maoists have demanded Rs.2 million from a government doctor in Bihar to buy arms and ammunition, police said Tuesday.
The demand was made to Rajendra Singh, who heads the government referral hospital at Sherghati in Gaya district, about 100 km from here.
“Maoists have called twice on Singh’s cell phone in the last four days,” an officer said.
