New Delhi: US Ambassador Timothy J. Roemer has expressed full satisfaction with security arrangements for the upcoming visit of President Barack Obama, Home Minister P. Chidambaram said Friday after a meeting with the envoy.
The meeting was held “only to discuss the visit of Obama”, the minister told reporters. The US ambassador, he added, was fully satisfied with the security arrangments.
“The government will provide foolproof security to President Obama,” Chidmabaram said.
Roemer met Chidmabaram at the minister’s North Block office, officials said.
Obama arrives in Mumbai Saturday, and will reach New Delhi Sunday. He will address a joint sitting of parliament’s two houses Monday.
