Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways will launch a club exclusively for art enthusiasts who fly with the airline, it was announced Friday.
The club, named Art Connect, will be launched in December by Etihad in partnership with art house Opera Gallery.
Art Connect will organise a monthly exhibition of masterpieces and contemporary art at the Etihad premium lounge in the Abu Dhabi Airport.
Peter Baumgartner, chief commercial officer of Etihad Airways, said: “Etihad is proud to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s growing reputation as a centre for art.”
“Art Connect will offer members a fantastic array of local and international art, on display and for purchase, which will create a unique atmosphere in our lounges and aboard our aircraft,” he said.
