New Delhi : Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, caught in a row over favouring his kin with prime land, flew in here late Friday for talks with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central leaders on his fate.
Yeddyurappa maintained that he has done no wrong and lashed out at the opposition Congress and Janata Dal-Secular for their “baseless allegations” against him.
Earlier, in Bagalkot in north Karnataka the chief minister asserted that the party central leadership was with him and he would remain chief minister for the remaining 30 months of his five-year term.
Ahead of his Delhi visit, Yeddyurappa made his two sons, daughter, sister and her son and daughter-in-law surrender the residential and commercial land allotted to them.
A probe by a retired Supreme Court judge into all land deals since 1994 has also been ordered. The name of the judge and terms of reference of the probe are yet to be decided.
