“It has been decided that the GGC cell would be constituted for delivering better services to the people in the states where our government is in power. The GGC cell would prepare a detailed report, suggesting measures to improve the civic facilities, which in turn would be submitted before our national president Nitin Gadkari,” Nadda told reporters here.

“On the directives of the national president, the measures suggested by the cell would then be implemented in letter and spirit in the BJP-ruled states,” he added.

Nadda was in Lucknow to attend the two-day national convention on urban good governance, which ended Saturday.

“Several mayors, experts from various domains and all those who have done good work in their areas would be involved in the cell,” he said.

Nadda said the report would be presented to Gadkari in one month.

“From government welfare schemes to proper sanitation, extension of roads, eco-friendly transport options, sewage management and other civic issues will all be taken into consideration while preparation of the report,” he said.

“We have also decided to initiate capacity building programmes for our corporators and mayors. Likewise, a sensitisation programmes for the public will also be undertaken by us,” Nadda added.
