Abu Dhabi : Mohammed Omran, the CEO of UAE’s telecommunication service provider Etisalat, has been named the World CEO of 2010 at a ceremony in Britain, it was announced Saturday.
He was honoured at the World Communication Awards ceremony in recognition of his outstanding work in the sector.
Etisalat has a market value of 30.8 billion UAE dirhams (about $25 billion) and 100 million subscribers worldwide.
Omran has worked with the company for over three decades and served in different positions till he became the chairman in 2005.
The World Communication Awards recognise the companies and individuals responsible for innovations, achievements and services in the sector.
