New division set up at ARAI to cater to auto industry

New Delhi : The Ministry of Heavy Industries has started a new forging industry division at the Automotive Research Institute of India (ARAI) in Pune to cater to the needs of the auto industry.

The division has been created to take care of all the issues related to forging materials and its manufacturing processes, the ministry said in a statement Wednesday.

Heavy Industries Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh announced this while inaugurating the International Conference on Automotive Materials and Manufacturing (AM&M 2010) in Pune.

According to the Ministry, the three-day conference would enable participants to share knowledge and network with industry players, academics and researchers.
